Franklin, Ind. — Daniel Hann, John Talley and Jack Laugle have been elected as the three newest members of the Franklin College Board of Trustees.
Hann serves as senior vice president of business development for Biomet, Inc. and its subsidiaries, which design, manufacture and market advanced medical technologies for the treatment of arthritis, joint and spine-related injuries and facial reconstruction. The Biomet headquarters is in Warsaw, Ind.
Hann's educational accomplishments include a bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University – Fullerton, a master’s of science degree in economics from the University of Illinois and a juris doctor from Indiana University. He is a member of both the American and Indiana state bar associations.
In addition to his leadership role with Biomet, Hann is involved in community service through Riley Children’s Foundation and the Dane A. and Mary Louise Miller Foundation. His hobbies include racquetball, golf and scuba diving. Hann and his wife, Pam, are the parents of a daughter and a son.
Talley recently served as president of Indianapolis-based Proliance Holdings, LLC, an energy-related holding company with subsidiaries focused on the natural gas industry.
Talley's educational accomplishments include a bachelor’s degree in English and political science as well as a juris doctor, all from Indiana University. Talley is active in the community through his service as a board member with the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and Indiana University McKinney School of Law-Indianapolis. He also serves on the Economic Club of Indiana Board of Governors and the Indiana Manufacturers Association, Board of Directors and Executive.
Talley's hobbies and interests include spending time with family and traveling. Talley and his wife, Lesa, are the parents of two daughters.
Laugle serves on the enrollment management and physical facilities committees for the college. Professionally, he is the president and owner of a machine shop called Innovative Casting Technologies, which he started in 1997. Located in Franklin, Innovative Casting Technologies, Inc. is a prototype shop that produces parts from CAD files to finished machined parts for automotive and off-road industries.
Laugle attended Hanover College for a year before leaving to fulfill other professional goals. He is a member of the American Foundry Society and the Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
Laugle and his wife have three children. Laugle is involved in the Greenwood Little League, and his sons have participated in the Franklin College’s sports camps. In 2011, his company supported the Behrens Softball Field project in Grizzly Park.
Founded in 1834, Franklin College is a residential four-year undergraduate liberal arts institution with a scenic, wooded campus located 20 minutes south of downtown Indianapolis.
