INDOT Hiring in Central Indiana

The Indiana Department of Transportation is seeking to add more than two dozen workers. The open positions include seasonal maintenance crew members and snow plow drivers. November 6, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is seeking to hire approximately 25 seasonal employees for winter maintenance operations in the Indianapolis Subdistrict. Successful hires will work as full-time seasonal INDOT maintenance crew staff and will operate plow trucks during snow events.

Seasonal employees will be paid $15 per hour and scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. Benefits are not offered for seasonal positions, but seasonal employees will be eligible for overtime. Employment is expected to begin within the month and last through April. INDOT is currently accepting applications until Nov. 15. Applicants Must Have:

-Valid commercial drivers license (CDL)

-High school diploma or equivalent

-Ability to pass a drug test successfully
