HOBART, Ind. – Mike Adams, Current Hobart Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, will retire from this position at the end of this year and after seven years of service.
Dawn H. Duty, a Northwest Indiana resident who has extensive leadership experience with several community-based organizations has been selected to be the next Chamber Executive Director effective January 1, 2014. Duty has over 25 years of non-for-profit professional experience including working with: Boys & Girls Clubs, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Kids Alive International.
She was born in Chicago and lived in suburban Chicago until her family moved to Northwest Indiana ten years ago. She and her husband and their teenage son live on a small rural horse ranch in Porter County.
