News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. — The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer announces the completion of its current $10 million pledge to research, bringing the total contribution to $20 million since 1998.

“After the loss of a dear friend, Mary Sloan, to breast cancer, we created the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer,” says Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, co-founder & Vice President of the Foundation Board of Directors. “We're proud of our work with the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center and the major steps they've made towards finding a cure.”

The Vera Bradley Foundation presented a $2.35 million check for research on Saturday night. Guests at the Foundation's Viva la Pink – A Gathering of Girlfriends event at the Vera Bradley Design Center in Roanoke, Indiana provided the perfect audience to celebrate this milestone.
