TV Show to Spotlight Hoosier Sports Icons

Carmel-based Brian Hammons Productions will debut a television program Monday night spotlighting high-profile names in Indiana sports history. The weekly "Hoosier Legends" program will feature guests including Bobby "Slick" Leonard and Jeff George. The Golf Channel host discussed his current projects earlier this month on Inside INdiana Business Television.

Carmel, Ind. -- Brian Hammons Productions, a Carmel, Indiana-based television production company is pleased to announce that "Hoosier Legends” presented by the Central Indiana Chevrolet Dealers will debut on Fox Sports Indiana on Monday, October 28th at 5:00ET.

"Hoosier Legends" presented by the Central Indiana Chevrolet Dealers is a weekly 30 minute magazine show that will profile the biggest names, stories and games from Indiana’s rich sports history.

"I am so excited to be a part of this show which will be a hybrid of ESPN's 30 for 30 series and Golf Channel’s The Feherty Show" notes Brian Hammons, the executive producer and host of "Hoosier Legends." "I have always wanted to tell the greatest sports stories from Indiana’s rich sports history, thanks to our partnership with the Central Indiana Chevrolet Dealers we can bring you those stories," Hammons adds.

The first of 36 episodes will feature the legendary Bobby "Slick" Leonard. Hammons takes you from Bobby’s glorious playing days, to literally saving the Indiana Pacers, and catches up with Bobby and his wife Nancy about life today. "No one is more legendary or colorful than Slick Leonard," says Hammons. Additional names to be featured on "Hoosier Legends" presented by the Central Indiana Chevrolet Dealers' include: The 1954 Milan Basketball team, Jeff George, Mark Herrmann, and George McGinnis.

"Hoosier Legends" presented by the Central Indiana Chevrolet Dealers will air each Monday at 5:00ET on Fox Sports Indiana with multiple airings each week.
