INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis office of high-technology giant EMC (NYSE:EMC) has moved to larger offices at Keystone at the Crossing to accommodate the company's explosive growth.
EMC is a global leader in cloud computing, document management and storage.
The Indianapolis office opened about 15 years ago with fewer than 10 employees; today it has 100 employees, with growth projected to continue.
“With more people, sales revenue growth and the continued acquisition and direction of the company, we outgrew our previous offices,” said Mike Pratt, EMC Area Manager.
EMC was formerly in an 8,000-square-foot space at the Precedent Office Park and moved earlier this month to over 12,000 square feet on the seventh floor at 8888 Keystone Crossing.
EMC is hosting an open house Tuesday, October 29 from 3 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the new location and offer demonstrations by various strategic business partners. With a “Speed to Lead” theme and the Indianapolis location, the open house will also include pit crew competitions.
“EMC has had a low profile in Indianapolis,” said Pratt. “Our customers knew us, but few others realized EMC had a presence here. Over the past 15 years we have quietly become a leading cloud provider in this area and a leader in information technology as a service. The new offices and the open house demonstrate EMC's commitment and investment in central Indiana.”
The EMC Indianapolis office customers include Eli Lilly and Company, Cummins Inc., Sallie Mae, the State of Indiana, the City of Indianapolis, Purdue University and others.
