Warren, Mich. — One of the leading furniture retailers in the U.S. is heading into Fort Wayne! Art Van Furniture, known for stylish furniture and exceptional customer service, will open a new 46,000 square foot furniture and mattress store located at 311 Coliseum Blvd across the street from the Glenbrook Mall. The Indiana store will debut in January 2014 and create more than 50 new retail jobs.
Founded in 1959 by Art Van Elslander, Art Van Furniture is the Midwest's largest furniture and mattress retailer. The 54 year old company has 35 stores in its home state of Michigan and has recently expanded into several Midwest markets, opening new stores in Chicagoland, Toledo, Ohio and Indiana.
“Art Van Furniture is well known for style, value and customer service, and we look forward to helping families in the Fort Wayne area enhance their homes,” said Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture.
Art Van Furniture carries several name brands including England, HGTV Home, Cindy Crawford Home and La-Z-Boy, among others. Art Van Furniture is remodeling a former retail space, which will feature an Art Van Clearance Center and an Art Van PureSleep department. Grand opening events and activities are planned for the Fort Wayne community.
