MUNCIE, Ind. – On Friday October, 4th, American Chevrolet Cadillac of Muncie and Kia of Muncie will be holding ribbon cutting ceremonies to commemorate the opening of their new dealership facilities in the new commercial development, Nebo Commons, in Muncie. The two state-of-the-art dealership buildings have located to the new development in an effort to serve their growing owner bases with larger more efficient facilities. Combined, both dealerships employ nearly 100 full time employees with anticipated job growth to accompany the added sales and service volume expected with these moves.
American Chevrolet Cadillac of Muncie will be moving from its previous location on McGalliard road next to Stoops into a new efficient 40,000 square foot facility following General Motors' new image requirements. The new location includes numerous customer amenities like a larger service reception area and waiting lounge, a 10 car showroom, a car wash, and customer accessible WiFi.
Kia of Muncie is moving from their temporary location at 2300 N. Martin Luther King Blvd after being awarded the first and only Kia franchise in East Central Indiana in late 2011. Kia’s 20,000 facility features a contemporary and modern fascia with a customer-friendly lounge area, climate controlled vehicle delivery bays and spacious showroom. During the ribbon cutting ceremony, KIA of Muncie will award a check for $3,500 to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of East Central Indiana. During their Grand Opening, KIA of Muncie held a car auction to benefit the local agency.
Nebo Commons, the new mixed use commercial development on the SW corner of Hwy 332 and Nebo road will also be celebrating the completion of this first phase which includes the two dealership buildings, boulevard entrance with signage elements and the first stretch of Hometown Boulevard. The owners of American Chevrolet Cadillac of Muncie, Kia of Muncie and nearby Toyota of Muncie have partnered to bring a utility served, build to suit commercial land development to the heavily traveled corridor in and out of the Muncie community. Announcements about other business additions to Nebo Commons are expected in the near future.
