Hammond, Ind. — The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and NWIndianaLife.com will be hosting the fourth annual Tech Summit on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Indiana Welcome Center.

The summit will feature sessions on a variety of tech topics. Short Session presenters include: Gus Olympidis, president of Family Express; Jed Stockton, communications director at Fair Oaks Farms; Frankie Lemer, senior account manager at Simpleview, Inc.; Brooke Kubath, go-to girl at Foster Printing Service; Milton G. Thaxton, Jr., managing partner at SMDG, LLC (Social Media Development Group); Michelle Neuman, sales engineer at Morgan Birge; Michael Devlin, professional services manager at McShane’s; Chris Mahlmann, owner and publisher of Ideas in Motion (NWIndianaLife.com, ValpoLife.com, LaPorteCountyLife.com and PortageLife.com); and Luke Weinman IV, chief technology officer at the South Shore CVA.

According to Weinman IV, the Tech Summit will offer innovative technological tools relative to businesses of all sizes.

“With the Tech Summit, we want to show smaller organizations how to get access to some of the same technology that larger organizations use, but at a cost relative to the company's size and needs,” said Weinman IV. “By simply exposing these businesses to what’s available, they can learn how to implement technology into their everyday practices successfully and increase their bottom line.”

In addition to the short sessions, the summit will host 15-minute roundtable discussions. Attendees may join discussions on social media tips and tricks, Facebook advertising, search engine optimization, All Things Google and more. During breaks throughout the event, there will be giveaways and a tech trade show.

Cost to attend the Tech Summit is $25 and includes a box lunch and continental breakfast. For more information or to register for the summit, visit www.southshorecva.com/tech or call the South Shore CVA at 219-989-7770.
