INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Governor Mike Pence today named appointees to the Vincennes University Board of Trustees. They will serve three-year terms beginning September 30, 2013.
“The individuals named to the Vincennes University Board of Trustees are leaders in their fields. Each will offer unique insight and perspective to continue to strengthen the university and ensure it provides a quality education to its students,” said Governor Pence.
Dr. Susan V. Olesik has been named to the Board. Olesik, of Columbus, Ohio, is currently the Dow Professor and Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Ohio State University, where she has served as an educator since 1986. She is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences and the American Chemical Society and has held a number of directorships, advisory board and elected positions. In addition, Olesik has spoken at numerous conferences and colloquia as an invited lecturer, written research and studies for publication and mentored students as part of the Olesik Group. She earned her associate degree from Vincennes University, her bachelor's from DePauw University, her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and held two post-doctoral fellowships at Indiana University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
George S. Ridgway, of Bloomington, has also been appointed to the Vincennes University Board of Trustees. Ridgway currently works at Cook Group Incorporated, where he leads the Cook Engineering and Architecture Department for world-wide operations. In 1979, Ridgway founded G.S. Ridgway and Associates, an architectural firm whose staff all became full-time employees of Cook in 2008. He is a member of the Vincennes University Foundation Board, a trustee at Old National Bank and director of CFC Properties. Ridgway earned his associate degree from Vincennes University, his bachelor's degree from Indiana University, and his master's of science from Ball State University.
Reginald K. Henderson, President of Medical Products & Logistics Services for Telamon Corporation, has been reappointed to the Board.
