Hubbell Inc.-owned RACO will cut the ribbon Tuesday on its new distribution center in South Bend. The manufacturer announced plans last year to invest $1.5 million in the move from Illinois and create up to 77 jobs by 2015.

Governor Mike Pence will join executives from RACO, a division of Hubbell Inc. (NYSE: HUBB and HUBA), at 2 p.m. on Tuesday for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the company's new distribution center in South Bend.

RACO, a global steel electrical junction box manufacturer, announced plans last fall to invest $1.5 million to relocate its distribution center from South Holland, Ill. to South Bend, creating up to 77 new jobs by 2015. The 105,000 square feet of space in the Ameriplex complex, which became operational last spring, is approximately eight miles north of its South Bend headquarters. The new location serves as the company's primary warehouse for all products sold nationally and internationally. Founded in 1928 in South Bend, the company currently employs more than 220 Hoosiers in St. Joseph County.
