INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Harrison College, a private sector college serving more than 4,000 students worldwide, announced today that Kynan Simison will assume the role of campus president for Harrison College's Fort Wayne campus.
Since 2010, Simison has been serving as Regional Director of Enrollment for Harrison College and The Chef's Academy-Indianapolis. With more than eight years of leadership experience at Harrison College, she brings an in-depth knowledge of operations, student services, enrollment opportunities and community outreach.
“Kynan's wealth of expertise from her various leadership roles within Harrison College will be an asset to the growing Fort Wayne campus and community,” said Duane Schmitz, senior vice president of operations at Harrison College. “Her commitment to improving higher education opportunities in the Fort Wayne area coupled with her understanding of the legacy of our school will be an asset as Harrison College continues to provide quality education and career opportunities to our students.”
In addition to Simison taking the helm at the Fort Wayne campus, Harrison College also welcomes Luke Knoke as the Dean of Academic Affairs at the campus. Knoke brings more than 15 years of academic and operations experience within education, both public and private and including online.
“I look forward to the opportunity to lead Harrison College's Fort Wayne campus in meeting the growing education and training demands of our city's workforce,” said Kynan Simison. “A large focus will continue to be in Fort Wayne's growing healthcare sector, providing quality education in health sciences programs including surgical technology, health care management and medical reimbursement technology, while continuing to offer strong degree program options in business and criminal justice.”
Part of Harrison College's investment in its health sciences programs included the addition of Jennifer Lloyd as surgical technology program chair in 2012.
About Kynan Simison
Simison obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Anderson University. She is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Academy of Madison County. Active in her community, Simison serves on the board of directors of the Alexandria Community Center, a United Way agency that provides education, recreational and social services to the youth in Northern Madison County. She is also actively involved in St. Mary's Church and has served as the St. Mary's School Guild President for the past two years.
