This area is located in the southeast quadrant of the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood south of 32nd Avenue, west of College Avenue, north of Fall Creek Parkway and east of New Jersey Street. In 2010, the 20/21 target area was identified because of its high vacancy and crime rates. This award from the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana will progress MFCDC's mission in the 20/21 target area and its vision for the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood. Specifically, it will allow four (4) new families to experience homeownership and provide repair assistance for three (3) existing neighborhood families.
There will be a press conference and opportunity to walk the target area on Monday, September 16th at 3:00pm. The press conference will take place at 3025 Park Avenue in Mapleton-Fall Creek; one of the properties which will be impacted by this funding.
