“GM truck owners are passionate about their Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks,” said Stephanie Jentgen, GM Fort Wayne communication manager. “We want to bring these fans together and introduce them to the all-new 2014 trucks and have fun at the same time.”

The homecoming will be held in the northeast parking lot of the Allen County Memorial Coliseum.

Parking begins at 8 a.m. with festivities starting at 10 a.m. Highlights of the day include a welcome presentation by Jully Burau, GM chief engineer for the Silverado and Sierra program; awarding of grants totaling $100,000 to community groups from the GM Foundation; a fun truck show, and a police-escorted 500-truck parade around the north end of the city. In addition, GM will have a variety of displays including GM Accessories, OnStar/Connected Customer, Northern Indiana/Ohio Chevrolet Dealer Association, Tom Kelley Buick GMC, plus entertainment from Hubie Ashcraft and The Drive and K105-FM.

GM Truck Parade – Participation in the GM Truck Parade is limited to the first 500 GM truck owners to register online at www.gmtruckhomecoming.com. These participants will receive a goody bag when they arrive at the Truck Homecoming and go to the Welcome Center tent.

GM Fun Truck Show – GM truck owners who attend homecoming can be a part of the GM Fun Truck Show by signing up at www.gmtruckhomecoming.com. Prizes will be awarded for oldest GM truck, newest GM truck, most mileage on a GM truck present, and the GM truck that travelled farthest to attend the event.

Parking at the Coliseum is $5 for cars, vans, or motorcycles and $13 for RV's, buses and limousines. Food will be available for purchase.
