INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Community Health Network has filled two leadership roles that will position the organization for future growth and performance. Wayne Pack has accepted the role of chief human resources officer, while David C. Williams, D.O., has been named president of the Community West Region.
Pack will replace Jill Parris, vice president of human resources, who retires at the end of the year. He officially assumes his new role on September 30 and will work closely with Parris during a transitional phase. In his role, he will provide executive oversight, facilitation and advocacy for the development of a future-ready workforce and the creation of a high-performing culture.
Pack comes to Community from Brightpoint North America L.P., where he served as senior vice president, human resources-Americas. He was responsible for the development of human resources strategies and program development for about 2,400 employees across the Americas. Prior to that role, he worked at Thomson (formerly GE Consumer Electronics and RCA Corporation) as vice president, human resources-worldwide in audio-video & accessories business; consumer solutions business; and consumer products marketing and sales. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
As president of the Community West Region, Dr. Williams will oversee product line services and facilities in the network's West geographic region, including Community Westview Hospital, Community Westview Health Pavilion and Community MedCheck in Speedway, and all other ambulatory services and physician practices in that market. Community's other five regions, announced in July as part of a regional approach under a corporate realignment, include South, East, North, Anderson/Madison County and Howard County.
Dr. Williams has held numerous leadership positions at Community Westview Hospital, including chief physician executive, chief of staff, chairman of the Bylaws and Credentials Committee, Board of Trustees member, and director of medical imaging. He holds board certification in diagnostic radiology through the American Board of Radiology and currently practices with Community Westview Radiologists. He previously practiced at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Department of Radiology, in San Diego.
Dr. Williams received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (formerly the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine), and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. His professional memberships include the American Osteopathic Association; American Osteopathic College of Radiology; American College of Radiology, Indiana Roentgen Society; and Indiana Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. In 2010, Dr. Williams was inducted into the Copley High School Athletics Hall of Fame in Copley, Ohio.
