Two chapters of a builders association are merging. The Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky says the combination will allow members in both states to share services and opportunities in a more efficient manner. September 10, 2013

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS – Two chapters of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) organization will now operate as one body known as the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky. The consolidation serves as the first merger in ABC history creating a single, stronger, multi-state organization covering 76,000 square miles.

“There’s a real strength in combining the forces of the two chapters by bringing together like minded people who truly believe in and embody the merit shop philosophy,” said J.R. Gaylor, president of ABC of Indiana/Kentucky chapter. “This is an extremely positive move for both states allowing us to create a lot of synergy.”

“The resources that we’re going to be able to provide are ones that we haven’t been able to previously,” said Ryan Ellis, 2013 chairmen of the board and president of PLS of Indiana, LLC. “Just the economy of scale and benefits that we’re going to be able to offer to not only our existing members but new ones puts in a very strong position for success and growth.”

Overall, the chapter anticipates shared services, opportunities and resources delivered in a more efficient and effective manner. The merger provides greater strength for the chapter to carry the message of freedom in the workplace and the marketplace, increased ability to compete in addition to networking, educational and training opportunities.
