Event to Honor 'Off The Radar' Innovators

Centric Innovation Network's board chair says a conference this week will be an opportunity to "raise the profile" of Indiana as an innovation center. Doug McColgin says even though technology companies tend to get most of the attention in that area, Thursday's Day of Innovation will also recognize service, startup and arts organizations. In a Studio(i) interview, McColgin says the event will honor innovations in products ranging from shower heads to fishing lures. Purdue University President Mitch Daniels will also receive the 2013 Excellence in Innovation Award.
