The Palladium-Item in Richmond reports Scott Ramey, a local business owner, has purchased Bertch's Hardware in Liberty. It will keep its name.
The publication reports Ramey will run his plumbing business from the back of the store and maintain the hardware store in the front.
David and John Bertch are the fourth generation of the family to operate the store, which opened in 1866.
