Two Fort Wayne law firms have joined forces. Carson Boxberger LLP has announced its merger with Federoff Kuchmay LLP. The deal involves nearly 30 attorneys. September 3, 2013

News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The law firms of Carson Boxberger LLP and Federoff Kuchmay LLP are pleased to announce they are merging, effective Sept. 1, 2013.

Jim Federoff, Scott Federoff and Jason Kuchmay will join the attorneys of Carson Boxberger in their office space in The Harrison overlooking Parkview Field ballpark in downtown Fort Wayne.

Although Federoff Kuchmay prides itself on providing “small-firm efficiency,” the merger with Carson Boxberger will allow attorneys to offer broader services to clients, many of whom will benefit by having access to the resources of a more full-service law firm.

Founded in 1945, Carson Boxberger has 24 attorneys whose areas of legal practice include business/corporate, governmental, litigation, intellectual property and personal services. A number of its attorneys are recognized as Indiana “Super Lawyers” and nationally as “Best Lawyers.” U.S. News & World Report recognized the firm as Top Tier law firm in Northeast Indiana. The firm also has an office in Bloomington, Ind.

The lawyers of Federoff Kuchmay, formerly located at 10445 Illinois Road, serve businesses, nonprofits and individuals in northern Indiana and statewide. The merger with Federoff Kuchmay will provide existing and future clients of Carson Boxberger a deep level of expertise in commercial real estate development; land use and zoning; riparian rights disputes; and real estate litigation.

Carson Boxberger moved in February to The Harrison, where it occupies the second floor of the four-story building. Retail is on the ground-floor level and apartments on the third and fourth floors. Carson Boxberger’s office space boasts natural light and open workspaces to promote teamwork and efficiency.

“We chose this place and designed this space as a business investment to serve clients best and to attract the most talented people,” said Carson Boxberger managing partner Tim Pape.

“Our space was designed to put client service first and its progressive features illustrate that commitment. Highly talented and successful lawyers joining us is further indication that investment keeps paying off.”
