A jobs event is set for next week in Lake County. The “Gary First” Career Fair is co-sponsored by Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson and the Majestic Star Casino. The event is set to be held at the Genesis Convention Center.

Organizers say participants must apply online at majesticstar.com.

It is part of the city's “New Day, New Jobs” initiative.
