Indianapolis-based TrendyMinds has hired Carmel City Councilwoman Sue Finkam as senior vice president. The public relations company says Finkam has more than 20 years of industry experience.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Sue Finkam, Carmel City Councilwoman, has joined TrendyMinds, an Indianapolis-based advertising and public relations agency, as Sr. Vice President and Chief Experience Officer.

Trevor Yager, President and CEO of TrendyMinds, said Finkam will play a significant role as the company continues to experience growth.

As Sr. Vice President and Chief Experience Officer at TrendyMinds, Finkam will work to enhance and expand our efforts to improve experiences for clients and their various stakeholders.

A Michigan native, Finkam graduated with a degree in sports medicine from Central Michigan University and a master’s in management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her professional background includes more than 20 years of human resources, marketing and business management experience.

Since 2005, Finkam's involvement in the Carmel community has helped enrich the culture and progressiveness of the city. Her involvement includes being a member of the Carmel City Council, and volunteering with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Carmel-Clay Kiwanis and the Carmel Economic Development Commission.

Finkam has been a frequent speaker at national, state and local trade associations on the topics of ergonomics, marketing and athletic training. She has also authored a textbook, is a former column editor for a professional health care journal and is a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series and the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series.
