The Economic Development Corp. Michigan City, Indiana says it is looking to fill its executive director position as soon as possible. Board Chairman Chuck Compton says the organization will continue to implement its strategic and downtown action plans in the interim.

News Release

Michigan City, Ind. — Economic Development Corporation Michigan City, Indiana (EDCMC) is continuing business as usual this summer during its interim.

The transition period began for the organization in late May when former Executive Director Kevin Kieft announced his resignation to accept a position with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

EDCMC also continues the search for a new Executive Director. Board of Directors leaders expect to fill the position as soon as possible. Those interested in applying for the position should visit www.edcmc.com to learn more.

Board Chairman Chuck Compton said, “We are still open for business. EDCMC maintains normal business hours at our office at Two Cadence Park Plaza, and business and community leaders can still reach us at (219) 873-1211 during the week.”

“Major projects like creating and implementing our strategic action initiative as well as assisting with the Downtown Action Agenda and Lake Michigan Gateway initiative are still underway. These projects will not be interrupted during the interim,” Compton continued.

Contact should continue to be made directly with the EDCMC office for ongoing project support.
