The air service director of the state's largest airport is hopeful two new international flights will bring further growth because “success breeds success.” Chris Matney hopes passengers will support the new routes as the airport continues to seek more leisure and business destinations, especially on the West Coast. Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL) is slated to begin weekly service from Indianapolis to Montego Bay, Jamaica and Nassau, Bahamas in December. July 25, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Just in time for winter's arrival, Central Indiana passengers will have new, nonstop departure options to reach two tropical island getaway destinations. Beginning December 21, Delta Air Lines will operate weekly nonstop service between the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) and Nassau, Bahamas (NAS).

“Delta Air Lines is the largest provider of non-stop destinations at IND, and we are pleased with their decision to offer our passengers new, convenient choices for popular winter travel destinations,” said Chris Matney, air service director for the Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA). “Adding to our international leisure markets diversifies the destination variety and connectivity that IND provides our community.”
