The founding Dean of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy believes the state's nonprofit landscape continues to recover from the recession. Gene Tempel also says there are concerns about potential changes to federal tax laws and figuring out ways to engage with different generations. He was one of the speakers during last week's MCON13 conference in Indianapolis and shared his views on Inside INdiana Business Television. Tempel believes it is essential for current leadership to reach out to Millennials because they represent the future of philanthropy.

He says members of the generation will eventually be running the boards overseeing nonprofit organization, so figuring out how to engage Millennials in multiple ways is vital.

Before joining the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Tempel led the Indiana University Foundation as its seventh president from September 2008 to September 2012.Source: Inside INdiana Business
