3Rivers Federal Credit Union will mark the completion of a multi-million project at its Fort Wayne headquarters next week. The company's $15 million investment includes renovations to its main building, a new adjacent corporate facility and a redesigned bank branch. July 15, 2013

News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – 3Rivers will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House for its newly completed Northland Campus, which houses the Northland branch as well as the 3Rivers corporate headquarters, on Wednesday, July 24th, 2013 at 10am.

This $15 million dollar investment in our community has resulted in a 26,000 square foot open-concept headquarters allowing 3Rivers to better serve its membership. The newly constructed East Building houses several corporate departments as well as the redesigned Northland branch. The completely renovated West Building contains additional support personnel, call center, and drive thru. The entire Northland campus was transformed to create an innovative and efficient space for 3Rivers team members to continue to help the community find personalized solutions for their money matters.

The campus was designed to meet the United States Green Building Council 2009 LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Silver certification level in new construction and renovation. Supported by 107 tons of locally fabricated steel, the new campus contains state of the art electrical and mechanical systems for increased energy efficiency, user controllability, and system lifespan. Break-out meeting and collaboration spaces, connected to advanced IT and audiovisual systems will enhance the ability of the 3Rivers team members to communicate quickly and efficiently, maximizing benefits to 3Rivers members. Site landscaping design lends a campus feel to the project with maximized green open space, casual outdoor seating areas, and even a walking trail. With 6 LEED certified buildings, 3Rivers is the largest owner and manager of LEED certified financial institutions in the state of Indiana.

“3Rivers is proud of our growth and the commitment from our membership that has led to this Northland Campus expansion,” said 3Rivers CEO Don Cates. “The completion of our Northland Campus better positions 3Rivers to work collaboratively and more efficiently by having our service and support teams centrally located to better serve current and future members.”

The grand opening of the Northland Campus signifies an important milestone in significant and continued growth for 3Rivers. In the past 12 months, 3Rivers has opened new facilities in Auburn, Bluffton, St. Joe Center Road and 3Rivers at the Harrison located in downtown Fort Wayne.

3Rivers employs 255 employees in 18 branches, in 6 counties and 2 states, serving over 67,000 members. The new Northland Campus currently houses just over 117 employees with a total capacity of 168. Positioning 3Rivers for future growth to better serve an increasing membership was critical in the design of the Northland Campus. 3Rivers has been recognized 3 consecutive times with awards in Workplace Excellence by Peter Barron Stark Companies.
