The former Plainfield headquarters of Fundex Games Ltd. is set to be auctioned later this month. The company declared bankruptcy last year and was purchased by Propel Equity Partners LLC, which owns the company that makes the Slinky. July 12, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The former global headquarters of Plainfield games company Fundex will be sold at a live, on-site auction on Wednesday, July 31. Fundex, the maker of popular card and children's games such as Phase 10, declared bankruptcy in September 2012. The company's gaming assets were sold in December to Slinky-maker Propel Equity Partners. The seven-year-old building is the last remaining piece of the puzzle to be sold.

The state-of-the-art building – 109,900 total square feet on 10.25 acres –

includes 94,900 square feet of warehouse and 15,000 square feet of office space.

The Plainfield Business Park is a major American distribution hub that borders I-70 and is situated 7 miles southwest of the Indianapolis International Airport. The park is home to numerous Fortune 500 companies. The building's neighbors include Eli Lilly, Amazon and electronics manufacturer Foxconn, supplier of the iPhone and Kindle.

The absolute auction, in which the property will be sold regardless of the final bid amount, is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31 at the site: 1570 S. Perry Road, Plainfield, Ind., 46168. The facility will be available for preview on Monday, July 22 from noon to 4 p.m.
