The head of the Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will be installed Thursday evening as the board chair of the national organization. In a Studio(i) interview, Indianapolis-based RepuCare Inc. Chief Executive Officer Billie Dragoo says she will focus on building a young entrepreneurs academy and a mentorship program to help train the next generation of business leaders.

Washington, D.C. – July 8, 2013 – The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is proud to announce Ms. Billie K. Dragoo will serve as the 2013-2014 National Board Chair. Ms. Dragoo, President and CEO of Indianapolis-based RepuCare Inc., will lead NAWBO's Board of Directors a national organization based in Washington DC, focused on propelling women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide.

“Today women entrepreneurs are a major contributor to our nation's overall economy as is evidenced by the more than 23 million people who are employed directly and indirectly by women-owned firms in the U. S. Given the important role women business owners are playing to revive our economy, it is critical that our organization have a strong and effective leader to move our organization, our members and our economy forward. NAWBO believes that we have such an accomplished and talented leader in Billie Dragoo. She is committed to taking our organization and women business owners to the next level to produce a meaningful and lasting effect on job creation and economic renewal across the country.”

Billie Dragoo, a lifelong resident of the Hoosier state, is an entrepreneurial executive with 23 years of experience in the medical staffing industry. RepuCare is a premier provider of healthcare staffing, workplace employee health and wellness services as well as supportive staffing and healthcare services for governmental programs. Founded in 1995 by Billie Dragoo as an allied health staffing provider to hospitals, clinics and nursing homes, RepuCare has a strong proven foundation in the healthcare industry and has been afforded sustainable growth and expertise over the years in medical staffing, healthcare programs and strategic onsite healthcare services.

In 2009, Ms. Dragoo was appointed to NAWBO's National Board of Directors and served on the executive committee. She is Past President and emeritus board advisor of the Indianapolis Chapter of NAWBO, where she was the architect of its growth and mentorship of many women business owners. Billie is Chairman and Founder of the Indiana Women Business Owner's Political Action Committee (IWBOPAC). Ms. Dragoo was appointed by the Mayor of Indianapolis as a board member of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee. In 2012, she was appointed to the Department of Workforce Development board, State Workforce Innovation Council (SWIC) by then-Governor Mitch Daniels.
