Tejas Tubular Products Inc. intends to invest more than $12 million to upgrade and expand the former Scott Brass Inc. facility. The site has been abandoned since 2008.
If approvals are met, Tejas would hire 100 employees this year and could bump up the total to 150 next year.
St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce President Jeff Rea believes the project could get underway in the fall.
