Two mayors will outline their plans for northeast Indiana at a young professionals event next month. Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and Columbia City Mayor Ryan Daniel will speak during what Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana describes as an "intimate conversation." July 3, 2013
Fort Wayne, IN – On Wednesday, August 14, Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana invites the community to an intimate conversation between Fort Wayne mayor Tom Henry and Columbia City mayor Ryan Daniel as they discuss their vision for the region. The event will be moderated by nonprofit leader, entrepreneur and former YLNI board member Amber Recker.
Tom Henry (D) spent decades serving on Fort Wayne City Council before being elected mayor in 2008. Henry's marquee accomplishments include the IMP settlement, downtown enhancement and the expansion of the trail system.
Ryan Daniel (R) kickstarted his career with the Governor's Fellowship Program under Governor Mitch Daniels. He was elected mayor in 2011, effectively becoming the 2nd youngest mayor in the state and Columbia City history.
