Fort Wayne and Allen County's new economic development organization has chosen its location and an investment campaign partner. Greater Fort Wayne Inc., which will open offices at the 1st Source Center downtown, has hired Denver-based R&M Resource Development to help run an investment campaign set to begin this summer.

News Release

Greater Fort Wayne Inc.'s (GFW) Transition Board has voted in favor of occupying space on the eighth floor of the 1st Source Center at 200 East Main Street. The details of the lease will be finalized within the next week.

Greater Fort Wayne Inc. is the newly created economic development organization that unifies the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance (Alliance) and the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce (Chamber). Both organizations will co-locate as Greater Fort Wayne Inc. in the new location by early November.

The 1st Source Center location will allow GFW to be in the same building with its partners in economic development, creating a central hub to better assist with business development, expansions, and attractions in the community. The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership (NEIRP), the Indiana Economic Development Corporation's Northeast Regional office, the Northeast Indiana Regional Workforce Investment Board, and Indiana University – Purdue University's Community Research Institute are all already located in the building on the ninth floor.

This new office space will also help to serve GFW's members with small and large meeting rooms, unified workspaces, and hoteling or reservation-based office space.

The Greater Fort Wayne Transition Board also voted to secure R&M Resource Development to assist the Board with an investment campaign that is anticipated to launch later this summer.

“Greater Fort Wayne Inc. is continuing to generate momentum towards accomplishing its bold vision,” said Mike Packnett, Chairman of the Board of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. “Today we've achieved two significant milestones to aid the progression of this newly formed organization.”

Greater Fort Wayne Inc. is the new organization that unifies The Fort Wayne – Allen County Economic Development Alliance and the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce, serving as a single point-of-contact for economic growth in Greater Fort Wayne.
