An Indianapolis-headquartered bank has brought ATMs on “steroids” to Indiana. Salin Community Bank & Trust Co. says it is the first in the state to offer virtual tellers at the money machines. The technology allows customers to deal with live tellers, based in Lafayette, from locations throughout Indiana. Salin has 14 virtual teller locations and plans to roll out more this year. Executive Vice President Robin Walker tells Inside INdiana Business Host Gerry Dick the ATMs help the smaller bank “level the playing field.” News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No teller lines. No deposit slips. No hassle. That'’s what you get with Salin Bank’s Live Teller™. Using new video-based interactive technology, customers are able to interact with a live teller who's located remotely in a video call center. Sound is carried through built-in speakers and a phone handset is available when using the machine in a Salin bank lobby.

With Salin’'s Live Teller system, customers can complete most of the teller services that are conducted inside a banking center. The end result: Savings in both time and money by eliminating the day-to-day hassles of managing your banking.

From making deposits, dispensing cash, and making transfers, Salin’s Live Teller leverages the benefits of technology while continuing to provide the personalized service that only a family owned community bank like Salin Bank can.

Just as important, Salin Live Teller provides teller banking services that go far beyond traditional banking center hours. Tellers will be available on the interactive Salin Live Teller System at Salin’s drive through locations from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Interior Salin Live Teller Machines are available from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
