Technology designed to address an increasingly-congested radio spectrum has become the first from Fort Wayne to be licensed through the Purdue Research Foundation. Adaptive RF Corp.'s product was developed by IPFW Center For Wireless Technology Director Todor Cooklev.

Cooklev, who will be chief executive officer of Adaptive RF Corp., says the licensing agreement could help spark the environment of innovation at IPFW.

In a release from the Purdue Research Park, Cooklev said, "This is the first startup in Fort Wayne that is licensing technology through the Purdue Research Foundation. This is an historic accomplishment by itself and it could encourage increased innovation and commercialization at IPFW."

Adaptive RF Corp. will operate as a subsidiary of Adaptive Micro-Ware Inc. The company says early partners will likely be federal agencies and telecommunications research organizations.
