News Release
Central Indiana contract manufacturing firm Genesis Plastics Welding will celebrate its recently expanded facility with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. Located in Fortville, Ind., the company’s expansion has doubled the Genesis headquarters to nearly 50,000 square-feet and will culminate in 2014 by adding more than 50 jobs in Hancock County.
The completed expansion includes an additional ISO 13485 compliant, Class 7 medical clean room that will help enable Genesis to meet the healthcare industry’s increasing demand for PVC-free medical products. By utilizing ecoGenesis™, the company’s proprietary radiofrequency plastics welding technology, Genesis can RF weld very thin gauge, phthalate-free, plastics materials to manufacture medical products such as blood pressure cuffs, inflatable bladders, compression therapy sleeves, disposable heating blankets and drainage bags.
“After 25 years, we are proud of our past successes and excited for what lies ahead,” says Tom Ryder, president and CEO of Genesis Plastics Welding. “This next chapter for Genesis Plastics Welding will hold great opportunities for us to increase our competitive edge in the global marketplace.”
On hand to help Genesis celebrate will be representatives from state and local entities including the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, town and county officials, as well as strategic business partners.
