Indianapolis-based Home Health Depot Inc. is being recognized by an industry publication. The home medical equipment company has been named best complex rehabilitation technology provider by HME News.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Home Health Depot, Inc. (www.hhdepot.com) has been named the best complex rehabilitation technology provider in the nation by HME News. Home Health Depot was chosen from more than 70 eligible companies around the country. Feedback from the patients Home Health Depot serves, a well as partner healthcare facilities, was taken into account by the judges in awarding Home Health Depot the top spot this year. Other criteria included community involvement and quality control.
Complex rehabilitation technology products are designed to meet the specific medical and functional needs of people with disabilities, including people with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and many other conditions. Products include modified or adapted manual and power wheelchair systems, adaptive and custom seating systems, alternative positioning equipment such as standers and gait trainers, as well as other mobility devices. Complex rehabilitation equipment requires a specially trained and credentialed assistive technology professional ("ATP") to evaluate, fit and provide the complex equipment. Home Health Depot employs 20 ATPs, more than any company in the Midwest and partners with hospitals, specialty rehabilitation hospitals and organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the ALS Association to serve their patients’ requiring complex rehabilitation equipment.
