A Butler University program plans to enhance the business management skills of lawyers. The school's corporate and executive education department will partner with the Indiana State Bar Association to offer "Business Essentials For Lawyers" courses.
Butler hopes the program will help lawyers increase business competency to better assess the value of their services.
The program is targeting managing and senior partners, and senior support staff.
It is slated to cover the following topics throughout the five sessions:
-August 24, Strategic Thinking for Lawyers
-August 25, Ethics & Business Development I
-September 14, Financial Accounting & Tax Reporting
-October 5, Ethics & Business Development II
-November 9, Developing a Law Firm's Human Capital
