Suarez says much of the cost is coming from overtime being paid to city crews and hiring contractors to help clean up city streets. He says the city is also seeking funding help from the federal government.

The June 29 storm knocked down more than 500 trees and interrupted service to 95 percent of Indiana Michigan Power's circuits in the Fort Wayne area.
