Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast has announced a memorandum of understanding with Shipshewana Development LLC. The agreement calls for education and job training opportunities through the college's business administration and hospitality administration programs.

Ivy Tech Community College−Northeast and Shipshewana Development, LLC, (Focus Hospitality Services, LLC) are entering into a Memorandum of Understanding to provide increased educational opportunities for residents of northeast Indiana.
The two organizations formally met today and signed an agreement to work together in offering education and practical job training for students in Ivy Tech–Northeast’s Business Administration and Hospitality Administration programs.
“The end goal is to develop a training program that blends Business Administration and Hospitality Administration curricula with a hands-on training opportunity offered by Shipshewana, LLC,” said Andrea Robinson Hinsey, dean of the School of Business.
Shipshewana Development, LLC, will provide co-op and internship positions to students at a hotel and water park property in Shipshewana, Ind. Ivy Tech−Northeast plans to develop industry-specific certificates, an Associate of Applied Science curriculum and transfer options to four-year institutions prior to the start of spring 2013.
