Evansville to Receive Federal Grant
Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke is scheduled to be on-hand this morning as the city accepts a federal Clean Fuels grant. The mayor says he will also announce a new lower-emissions trolley service.

Evansville, Ind. --Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Congressman Larry Bucshon (IN-08) will hold a joint news conference Monday, July 16, at 8:30 a.m. at the Metropolitan Evansville Transit System (METS) office, 601 John Street, to announce the city’s acceptance of a federal Clean Fuels Grant that will improve fuel economy. Mayor Winnecke will use the opportunity to introduce a new, lower-emissions trolley.
