State to Release ISTEP Results
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Bennett is set to announce ISTEP+ scores for the 2011-2012 school year. He will be joined today by representatives from six schools receiving special recognition.
Indiana students showed improvement in the standardized tests last year. The Indiana Department of Education says, overall, approximately 70 percent passed the English/Language Arts and Mathematics sections of the ISTEP+ examination during the 2010-2011 school year. Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett also says more than 960 schools in the state improved their scores last year.
