A national travel publication considers one Hoosier city's architecture among the best anywhere. The list from Condé Nast Traveler includes Columbus on its "World's Best Cities For Architecture Lovers" list.
The Bartholomew County community is noted for featuring dozens of buildings built in the Modernist style.
In the 1950s and 1960s, philanthropist J. Irwin Miller led a movement to revamp the style of local public structures, churches and his own house.
Other cities on the list include Miami, Florida's art deco styling and Florence, Italy's Renaissance designs.
