Johnson Controls to Cease Kendallville Operations
Wisconsin-based Johnson Controls Inc. is closing its Kendallville plant. Company spokeswoman Debbie Lacey tells Inside INdiana Business the move will take place by the fall and affect 180 employees.

In a statement, the company says "there is not enough business to sustain the plant long-term."
Last month, Michigan-based furniture manufacturer Arden Co. announced their own Noble County closure which put around 50 employees out of work.
Johnson Controls makes heating ventilation and air conditioning accessories and battery technology.

Statement From Johnson Controls Inc.
Today we announced that we will be closing the JCIM Kendallville plant, as there is not enough business to sustain the plant long-term, and there is excess manufacturing capacity. The facility, which produces interior components, is expected to close in the fall. We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication of the Kendallville JCIM team.
