What: The state’s largest electric providers will explain their summer preparedness strategies to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

When: The forum will be held on Tuesday, May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th. The presentation schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, May 29th (EDT)

9:30 a.m. Indianapolis Power and Light (IPL)

10:15 a.m. Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO)

11:00 a.m. Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company (SIGECO)

1:30 p.m. Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO)

2:15 p.m. Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA)

Wednesday, May 30th (EDT)

9:30 a.m. Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M)

10:15 a.m. Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative

11:00 a.m. PJM Interconnection

2:30 p.m. Duke Energy Indiana

3:15 p.m. Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA)

Where: The forum will be held at the PNC Center, Hearing Room 222, 101 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204. For those unable to attend, the presentations will be live streamed at: www.in.gov/iurc/2624.htm.

Why: The Summer Reliability Forum is an opportunity for the utilities to present on the following matters: 1) future operational challenges; 2) energy growth and consumption; and 3) steps taken to prepare for summer 2012 capacity and energy needs.
