INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – SonarMed® Inc., a privately held developer and manufacturer of critical care respiratory monitoring technologies, announced today that it has named William DeMars as its Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
DeMars joins the organization to orchestrate the 2011 U.S. market launch of SonarMed’s Airwave™ airway monitoring system, which monitors breathing tubes for patients requiring ventilators. Previously the vice president of business development for Ashmak, a medical consultancy, DeMars has also held sales management roles at medical device companies specializing in respiratory and emergency room care products.
“Bill’s early clinical background as a respiratory therapist and paramedic, combined with his extensive and deep market experience in respiratory and anesthesiology sales at leading organizations makes him ideally suited to lead the Airwave’s entry into the U.S. market," said Andrew Cothrel, SonarMed President and CEO.
The company anticipates a launch date later this summer.
