INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Superintendent for Public Instruction Tony Bennett and Indiana State Teachers Association President Nate Schnellenberger will make a joint announcement in support of a statewide initiative that can boost the academic achievement of students, while helping them avoid engaging in risky behaviors such as drug and alcohol use.
Schnellenberger and Bennett will be joined by Bill Stanczykiewicz, president and CEO of the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI), and December Warren, project director of the Indiana Mentoring Partnership (IMP), as well as children and adults participating in the initiative.
