INDIANAPOLIS – The Tiffany & Co. Nine & Wine has been unveiled as the latest addition to the 2010 Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament, presented annually by Indiana Sports Corporation and Indiana Black Expo. The event will be held on Monday, June 21, at Broadmoor Country Club and is exclusive to women golfers of all skill levels. All participants will take part in a 9-hole scramble and tee off at 3 p.m. in a shotgun start.
“We are excited to add the Tiffany & Co. Nine & Wine to this year’s Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament,” Nine & Wine Committee Co-Chair Connie Shepherd said. “The event offers an incredibly unique experience, with wine-tasting on the golf course and an exclusive reception at Tiffany & Co. If you are a female golfer in Indianapolis, this event is for you.”
While on the course, golfers will have the opportunity to sample delicious international wines. Two oases will be set up on each nine; each with a different theme based upon the country they represent. Appetizers will also be served at the stations.
Included in the Tiffany & Co. Nine & Wine package is an invitation to an exclusive Tiffany & Co. reception and tickets to the Pathfinder Awards. Tiffany & Co. will host a private party for all Nine & Wine participants at their Fashion Mall location on Thursday, June 17. The reception includes jewelry shopping, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. There are only 120 Nine & Wine packages available.
The Pathfinder Awards will be held on Sunday, June 20, in Conseco Fieldhouse. The companion event to the Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament, the Pathfinder Awards celebrates its 23rd anniversary in 2010. Nearly 1,000 attendees are expected, with proceeds benefiting the Champions in Life (CHAMPS) Grant Program and other youth-serving initiatives.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and IUPUI men’s basketball coach Ron Hunter will be recognized as Pathfinder Award recipients for their dedication to serving underprivileged youth across the nation. Indy Air Bears founder Niki Glover will be presented with the Rev. Charles Williams Award for her work in the Indianapolis community.
The Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament is one of the largest charity golf events in the nation. This year’s competition will include an estimated 120 companies and 600 total golfers. Since Youthlinks’ inception in 1988, more than $5.9 million in event proceeds have been distributed back into the community to support youth-based sports programs and initiatives through CHAMPS grants and other awards.
In addition to Broadmoor Country Club, the host courses for the 2010 Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament are Crooked Stick Golf Club, The Sagamore Club and Woodland Country Club. Broadmoor Country Club will host Youthlinks Indiana golfers prior to the Tiffany & Co. Nine & Wine.
Hole-in-One level sponsors of Youthlinks Indiana include Anthem Foundation, Browning Investments, Eli Lilly & Company, Hoosiers Work for Health, NCAA, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, and Sport Graphics.
