Lilly Reducing Sales Force

InsideINdianaBusines.com Report

Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) plans to layoff 191 salespeople throughout the U.S. by the end of the year. In a letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the pharmaceutical maker says the reductions are related to a sales force restructuring. The contracts of the affected employees were due to expire at the end of 2011, but there was some flexibility to change that date.
