Inside INdiana Business recently traveled to the "orthopedics capital of the world."
The next steps in developing a regional orthopedics initiative in the Warsaw area will be outlined tomorrow. An announcement is planned for the Orthopaedics Capital Center at Grace College, near Warsaw. Several community, biomedical device company and state leaders are expected to outline what is next for the planned OrthoWorx effort. A call for such an initiative is in a recent report from BioCrossroads on the state's orthopedics industry.

The report suggests the establishment of a business league, along the lines of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership in Indianapolis and surrounding counties.
It would help organize the orthopedics efforts in the Warsaw-area through a strategic initiative.
But funding for that plan has not been secured.
A recent Inside INdiana Business Viewpoint Poll showed 73 percent of respondents believed leaders would be successful in funding the OrthoWorx initiative.
