OrthoIndy and the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital (IOH) will break ground today on a new $22 million facility in Greenwood that will create nearly 95 jobs. OrthoIndy South will feature 42 exam rooms, four operating rooms, physical therapy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services. The state-of-the-art orthopaedic center is scheduled to open next winter.

Orthopaedic Hospital officially broke ground on the new $22 million Hospital Outpatient Department and Clinic. Scheduled for completion in 2010, the new state-of the-art facility is located on 42 acres near I-65 and County Line Road on the Southside of Indianapolis.
The breakdown for the 75,000 square-foot facility is comprised of a 35,000 square-foot ground-up hospital and 40,000 square feet for clinical services. The hospital will feature four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, six PACU Bays, 15 Pre-op/Stage 2/APS Bays, Outpatient Therapy, and an MRI room. In addition, the clinic will provide 42 exam rooms, two casting rooms, 15 physician offices, and three X-ray rooms.

Indianapolis, IN (September 22, 2009) — OrthoIndy and the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital (IOH) are officially breaking ground today on a new facility, located at 1260 Innovation Parkway, (South of County Line, on Graham Road) Greenwood, Indiana. Spanning 75,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility will provide 5-Star orthopaedic care to residents on the Southside of Indianapolis. The facility is scheduled to open winter of 2010.
The new facility, OrthoIndy/IOH South, will include: 42 exam rooms, 4 operating rooms, physical therapy and MRI, as well as 21 OrthoIndy physicians, providing a complete range of orthopaedic care.
"We are excited to offer more services to our already existing presence on the Southside by building a new state-of-the-art facility," said John Martin, CEO at OrthoIndy. "As a member of the community of Greenwood, our new facility will provide residents with orthopaedic care that is nationally ranked."
BSA LifeStructures designed the facility and Meyer Najem will provide construction management expertise. Hokanson Construction & Development and McCormack Development will oversee the process to completion.
