Rainmakers Names New President

INDIANAPOLIS - Rainmakers, Indiana’s fastest growing business networking association announced Deseri Garcia will assume the role of Rainmaker President effective April 1. In this role she will work directly with the growing number of Rainmaker chairs, creating and fostering teamwork, communication and personal responsibility. Ultimately, she will be responsible for helping members use Rainmakers to achieve their individual business objectives.

As a year-long member of Rainmakers, Deseri has already shown great leadership in the organization serving as the chair for At the Crossing bringing renewed energy to one of the largest events in the Rainmaker schedule. She will be replacing Lorraine Ball, who led the organization just shy of three years.

Ball is stepping down to focus her attention on her own business (Roundpeg) and her role as the Executive Director of Rainmaker University. She will hold the title President Emeritus.

“Lorraine’s tireless, pragmatic and visionary leadership has been an integral part of our growth, said Tony Scelzo. “I would even say she has been the greatest Rainmaker in our short history. We expect the more of the same as she moves into her role in Rainmaker University.”
