Switzerland County Group Wins Prestigious Award
The Switzerland County Recreation, Tourism and Convention Commission has been chosen as the winner of the 2008 Efroymson Award for Excellence in Cultural Tourism Development. The Switzerland County group received a $25,000 check after being selected from among eight finalists around the state. A Vision for Switzerland County: The Retail project includes new tourism offerings and a plan for downtown redevelopment and promotion, all aimed at attracting visitors to the region.
